A magnetometria permitiu definir cinco magnetofácies. A gamaespectrometria permitiu individualizar seis radiofácies. |
| metadata.dc.description.abstracten: | The Venda Nova Pluton (PVN), in the mountainous region of Espírito Santo State, is a post-collisional intrusive body associated with the G5 Suite of the Araçuaí Orogen. This study integrated airborne magnetic, gamma-ray spectrometric, geological, field, and petrographic data to interpret the internal zoning of the pluton and relate its lithological units to their geophysical responses. The Magnetic Anomaly Field, Analytic Signal Amplitude, Total Horizontal Gradient, K, eU, and eTh channels, and the RGB ternary composition were used. Magnetometric analysis allowed the definition of five magnetofacies. The lower-response classes occur mainly around and along the margins of the PVN, whereas magnetofacies 3, 4, and 5 are concentrated within the pluton. Magnetofacies 5, with values above 2 nT/m, occurs as localized anomalies with irregular to semicircular geometry. The interpreted lineaments show a predominant NE–SW trend, mainly between N55E and N70E, in addition to NW–SE and N–S features. This pattern is consistent with the regional foliation and nearby structures, such as the Guaçuí Shear Zone. Gamma-ray spectrometry allowed the identification of six radiofacies. Radiofacies 1 was related to the syen monzonitic and quartz-syenitic envelope; radiofacies 2 to the noritic-charnockitic ring; radiofacies 3 to peripheral granites and felsic variations of the envelope; and radiofacies 5 to the gabbronoritic core. Radiofacies 4, located between the core and the envelope, was interpreted as a possible geophysical expression of the monzodioritic transition zone described in the literature but not individualized in the regional geological map used. The five thin sections analyzed supported the interpretation of felsic to intermediate domains and the noritic-charnockitic ring. The results show that the PVN has a heterogeneous geophysical behavior and an internal organization marked by magnetic contrasts, radiometric variations, and the influence of regional structures. However, the geophysical facies do not directly correspond to single lithological units and must be interpreted together with geological and petrographic data. |
