Resumo em outra língua: The main goal of this work was to investigate the relation between the IT Identity dimension (CARTER, PETTER, GROVER, e THATCHER, 2020B; MOURA, 2019) and an individual's behavior of starting (establishing) a digital venture. Therefore, this research aimed to extend the current prediction models of entrepreneurial behavior based on the Theory of Reasoned Action (TAR) along with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP) (AJZEN, 2002; AJZEN e FISHBEIN, 1977; FISHBEIN, 1979). Furthermore, by looking specifically at the object "digital entrepreneurship" it sought to discuss and evaluate the effects of emerging technological developments on entrepreneurial actions, an important matter for this research agenda (NAMBISAN, 2017). In methodological terms, it was structured in the form of a Survey, collecting data from one hundred and fifty participants, via a structured questionnaire, applied online. In the data analysis, the Structural Equations technique was used, estimated by the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The observed results show that Identity with electronic media positively affect entrepreneurial behavior. Independent variables, specifically based on the theory of planned behavior (AJZEN, 1991) also explain the phenomenon of digital entrepreneurship. Thus, it is hoped that the evidence revealed by this research will contribute to a better understanding about the factors that lead to entrepreneurial behavior in general, and in particular to the behavior of establishing a digital venture. With that, the results of this research proposal have the potential to contribute both for the development of the literature on antecedents of entrepreneurial behavior; and to shed light on knowledge that has practical implications for countries, regions, and organizations interested in this important socioeconomic phenomenon.
